2. Plans for Domed City Unveiled The Daily Alestle - Steve Yelvington - Fuller's plan for the Old Man River's City project is revealed. The article summarizes the initial meeting in which the city of East St. Louis was able to hear Fuller's proposal. "Fuller said that unless East St. Louisans would have priority for living in the city, he would have no part in it. Blacks and whites would live together there, he said, because he does not recognize races as such."

11. Bucky Plays to an Empty House Date and publication unkown. EFP Jr. talks about the poor turnout to the traveling exhibit put on by the Museum of Science and Industry Chicago. At its last stop in East St. Louis, the exhibit was vandalized multiple times and attracted only a few "legitimate visitors" a day. Some of the apprehension from the community may have been due to the dome that was set to overlay the city. "A more plausible explanation for the low turnout is the collective pathology of East ST. Louis manifest in the incredible apathy, neglect, and squalor of the place. It is hard to imagine anything so alien to the energetic and irrepressible spirit of Buckminster Fuller as apathy and neglect."

Instead he would like to spend the money on making a motion picture to explain the project in better detail. He urged East. St. Louisans to try to procure the land needed. The time may not yet be right, but the project will happen when it's meant to.
