Methods and Design of this Study

In this section, I want to describe the works by the artist that I'm selecting for use. This is my opportunity, very likely with the use of charts and/or graphics, to show what pieces I'll be referring to, and what methods of analysis I will be undertaking.

An example in my case would be a chart listing the songs that I'll be working with, and I can easily use album cover art to show which music libraries the songs belong to.

If you are working with dialogue from fiction or lyrics from published poetry, you can also include cover art. There are many online places where one can go to find these images, and make sure that every image is captioned and fully cited.

While you cannot build a chart directly in Omeka, you can build one in word and then take that image and add it as an "item" in Omeka. I have done this here.

Here I identify the songs I will be using as my lyrics corpus. I first typed this text in a "text-only" block. I then added an "image-only" block and made this chart in MS Word, then took a screen shot, and inserted it here as an item/image in that block. This ensures that the chart image is big enough for others to read!
