She studies nineteenth-century transatlantic reprinting and metaphors linking the body and text. DeSpain&#8217;s book\u00a0<em>Nineteenth-Century Transatlantic Reprinting and the Embodied Book<\/em>\u00a0was published in 2014.\u00a0She started researching the transatlantic reprint history of\u00a0<em>The Wide, Wide World<\/em> in 2006 as part of her Center for the Book final project at the University of Iowa. Since moving the project to SIUE in 2008, DeSpain has been working with with a team of students each semester to complete the project.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Editorial Staff<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Jill Anderson<\/strong> is an Associate Professor and the Program Director for secondary English Education in the Department of English Language and Literature at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Anderson&#8217;s research specializes in the American novel from the early republic to the antebellum period with an emphasis on transatlantic intertextuality and the female heroine.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Melissa White\u00a0<\/strong>is a Visiting Assistant Professor of English at Skidmore College who \u00a0studies nineteenth-century American literature and textual studies. White is a Bibliographical Society student prizewinner for her book collection of <i>The Wide, Wide World<\/i>,which she subsequently donated to the University of Virginia\u2019s special collections. White is an experienced editor of two digital projects and was a staff member and project manager for the pioneering <a title=\"Rossetti Archive\" href=\"http:\/\/www.rossettiarchive.org\/\" target=\"_blank\"><i>Rossetti Archive<\/i><\/a> from 2002-2005.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jennifer Brady\u00a0<\/strong>is a Lecturer in the Committee on Degrees in History and Literature at Harvard University and the Assistant Director of Studies in the America Field. She specializes in reader reception, book history, and the sentimental novel. She has written extensively about Warner\u2019s fans and recently published a piece about this work in <a title=\"Jenni's Commonplace Article\" href=\"http:\/\/www.common-place.org\/vol-12\/no-01\/brady\/\"><i>Commonplace.<\/i><\/a><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Editorial Board<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>John Bryant\u00a0<\/strong>is a full Professor at Hofstra University and the author of <i>The Fluid Text, <\/i>the theory of editorial practice that underpins the design of this project<i>. <\/i>Bryant is the primary investigator for a NEH Scholarly Editions Grant that is supporting the development of <i><a title=\"Melville Electronic Library\" href=\"http:\/\/www2.iath.virginia.edu\/melville\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Melville Electronic Library<\/a>.<\/i><strong><i><br \/>\n<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Julia Flanders\u00a0<\/strong>is the Director of Northeastern University\u2019s <a title=\"Women Writers Project\" href=\"http:\/\/www.wwp.brown.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\">Women Writers Project<\/a> (WWP), one of the most comprehensive digital collections of women\u2019s writings available online, and an active member of the Text Encoding Initiative. Flanders is currently the primary investigator on an NEH Scholarly Editions Grant, <i>Cultures of Reception, <\/i>that puts women\u2019s writing in the context of transatlantic reception history through the editing of reviews, letters, and journals.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Andrew Stauffer\u00a0<\/strong>is a Professor at the University of Virginia, specializing in Romantic poetry.
