To begin this I just want to let you guys all know how excited I was that I uploaded the timeline on like the first try! It may have been an accident but i’ll take it as a win! Or maybe I’m getting the hang of this whole technology thing a little bit!<\/p>\n

\"\"\u00a0I really enjoyed constructing this timeline it allowed me to be a little creative while also keeping it all very organized. I can learn a lot from this type of digital visualization, I am able to clearly see what happened in what year and maybe even a picture or video to go along with it. This makes it a lot easier to read information and make it a little more interactive. It was also pretty easy to navigate it once we understood where the url’s went and exactly how to upload the pictures or videos.<\/p>\n

When doing my research I first started with the standard “let me type in my topic in google”— while this gave a lot of information to start me on my way. I needed a little more so I was able to use the standard google search to pick more specific searches. Like the people or locations of where things happened. This made it a lot easier to narrow down what years I thought were the most influential and important overall. But next came the more difficult part, at first I had a picture that was from google, but I needed the copyright authorization so my picture would not work. So then I was instructed by Dr. Despain to look on Wikimedia, here I was able to find a picture and upload it much easier. So the internet was a little tricky finding my pictures and videos but once we figured out the correct URL to upload it was effortless. I didn’t really feel like I had too many problems with my internet searching overall I think it was a good subject and timeline activity!<\/p>\n

I really enjoy these types of assignments that are more hands on (computer on?). And you get a nice pretty product at the end! The timeline was a good way to put our topics into the computer. It gave a very neat while also being able to hold and add a good amount of information to it.
