Portfolio
Throughout the semester, you will be responsible for amassing a digital portfolio from the course activities and assignments that demonstrates how you’ve met the goals you describe on your learning contract. See a sample here.
Setting Up Your Portfolio
- In WordPress, click on “Portfolio,” and then “Add New.” The “Edit a Project” page looks just like a regular “Edit Post” page.
- Name our Portfolio with your name (e.g. Mina Harker’s Portfolio)
- Copy and paste the code template from the text file available on Blackboard into the “text” tab of your portfolio “edit” page so that you have the required table of contents, headings, and information about what to enter into the portfolio.
- Be sure to choose a feature image that demonstrates your best work.
Midterm Portfolio (by Sunday, March 10)
Your midterm portfolio must include:
- A brief introduction that discusses how you still need to improve to meet your goals, and whether or not you may need to revise the contract.
- A subheading for each of the portfolios learning categories along with your assigned percentage of effort.
- Goals copied from your learning contract specific to each category.
- At least one artifact included under each goal demonstrating how you’ve met it with a brief description of how the artifact meets the goal. Artifacts might include links to blog posts, images of notes, screenshots of projects, or <iframe> code.
Final Portfolio (by Wednesday, May 8)
Your updated portfolio should include:
- Any new content and descriptions that you needed to add to demonstrate your work during the second half of the semester.
- Any revisions to the goals or the percentages you made at midterm.
- Your final introduction should indicate whether you think you’ve met the goals you’ve laid out for yourself, what your proud of, and what you’d still like to improve upon.
