Bacteria are rapidly evolving to become resistant to the antibiotic medications we have today, causing 2.8 million infections and about 35,000 deaths (CDC). In this page I outline ways in which the public can learn about this issue and what they can do to help. I got to personally interview a microbiology professor at SIUE to help inform my project. Her interview is featured throughout the page. I hope everyone is able to learn more about this issue!
