Voyant
To begin the first text I input into Voyant was the text itself. With this I was able to understand and figure out what words and information was most important. It also allowed me to see which characters and what specific words tie together. The word that tied “Montgomery” and “said” that caught my eye is the word “man”. Which is very intriguing because most of the “people” in this story are beast-men, not just men. There are only three men mentioned throughout the story Montgomery, Prendick, and Dr. Moreau. Another thing I learned from this data, is that Prendick and Dr. Moreau did not have much contact with one another. Prendick typically spoke with Montgomery which seemed to act as the middle man (as shown in the links tool below). If I had not read this story I would have been able to make that assumption just based on the visualization pictured below.
