Comparing the Texts

Voyant & The Lancet

The Cirrus tool allowed me to combine both texts and find what the most common words between the two were. This is very informative in the case that both H.G Wells story and The Lancet are medical texts that describe events in the scientific field. The most common word between the two is “medical” which occurs 617 times throughout the texts. One word I am glad that didn’t occur in both texts was “vivisection”, it is good to know that this procedure was just fictional in this time. At least in the medical journals anyhow!
