The goal of my project was to compare two texts. I wanted to compare the texts to understand the scientific side of “The Island of Dr. Moreau”. This way I could possibly understand the reasoning behind Dr. Moreau’s actions. But there was no reasoning behind his actions they were just barbaric and he wanted to gain a scientific advantage, no matter the cost of life. I enjoyed learning more about the science involved in writing a text like this and understanding some jargon that I may not have before this project. Overall, this book is disturbing but interesting and makes you question the science behind it.
