An enslaved man owned by Mr. Edward Covey in 1833. He was among the group fanning wheat in August of that year alongside Eli, Bill Smith, and a very feeble Frederick Douglass when Douglass reports collapsing. Douglass would later be injured by Covey when his health made it impossible for him to stand up.
