Description
With nearly no time to bring her guns to bear, the USS Henrico APA-45 suffered an attack by a Japanese suicide bomber. The bomber hit the starboard side of the navigation tower, down through decks and bulkheads, landing in the Division Commander's quarters. The two bombs carried by the attacker penetrated several decks before exploding on the port side of the main deck.
